The Motorcycle

Art Direction, Brand Design, Exhibition Signage, Illustration

The Motorcycle: Design, Art, Desire opened the throttle on the groundbreaking designs that shaped one of the most iconic objects the world has ever seen. The branding called for a playful personality, with a nod to vintage motorbike characteristics. QAGOMA fully embraced this blockbuster exhibition, with a cheeky tweak to its logo. A series of illustrations (which were also hand-painted murals in the gallery spaces) formed part of the brand, bringing to life the evolution of the motorcycle.

To complement the exhibition, The Motorcycle Up Late was a celebration across two nights featuring live music, DJs, workshops and pop-up bars under the stars. The art direction for the festival tapped into the electric and rock ā€˜n’ roll vibes of the line-up, all the while supporting the overall exhibition design.
